Oban’s head of paid media, Nandita Patkar, will be one of the key panellists at this year’s Search Conference at the IAB, London, on Thursday 12th June 2014. Featuring guest speakers from Google, Adobe and Microsoft, the event ‘Think you know search? Think again!’ is set to be one of digital marketing’s finest.
Oban will join the stage in the first panel session at 1:45pm to discuss ‘Is Paid Search worth it?’ alongside Tug, Unique Digital, Starcom and Yahoo. Inspired by eBay’s Research Labs 2013 report – which showed that paid search ads generated little increase in sales for eBay and when removed, traffic and conversions were maintained through consumers clicking on organic search or going directly to the eBay site – the talk will provide insight on how businesses can take advantage of digital marketing tactics. The debate will also be largely centred on whether or not mature brands should invest in paid search or if organic search will be sufficient.
Oban’s Head of Paid Media, Nandita Patkar, has more than four years experience in managing Media campaigns for top tier brands such as Apple, LEGO, World Gold Council and Pfizer. She is a specialist in international multilingual media planning and strategy and enjoys mulling over best practices, measurement and attribution, and working with behavioural cues to optimise Media investment. She has worked for On Holiday Group and iCrossing before joining Oban Multilingual as Head of Paid Search.
