Business Development Director


We are looking for an experienced and talented individual to help drive growth as a Business Development Director within our International Digital Marketing Agency, based in Brighton. The successful candidate will have responsibility for dealing with incoming enquiries, creating proposals, attending pitches, building relationships and networking to support our business growth initiatives.

About the Role

Working as part of the business growth team you will pro-actively lead new business initiatives, ensuring that our targets are met. This will involve working closely with other members of the  wider Oban team to ensure the campaigns we conduct are performing well and that we continue to deliver great opportunities through pitches and client meetings.

Key responsibilities…

  • Engaging new business opportunities and revenue for the company
  • Securing contracts with key clients and major corporate brands
  • Representing the company at key events
  • Ensuring Oban has a solid pipeline of growth opportunities
  • Ensuring quality of responses to RFP and pitch proposals to clients
  • Working with team members to ensure supporting materials are of the highest standard
  • Monitoring external environment/market intelligence and highlighting key issues/ market opportunities to the senior management team

About You

In addition to a passion for Digital marketing you will possess…

  • A record of consistent and exceptional target achievement together with a proactive attitude to gaining new business and experience heading up the pitch process
  • Extensive and impressive experience of delivering new business wins for Digital Marketing agencies
  • Impressive credentials in leading and managing the RFP process, with a desire to provide a consultative sale, involving all key stakeholders.
  • Excellent relationship management skills – with significant experience of C-Level/Director engagement in Global organisations combined with a track record of building long term relationships, based on trust, transparency and partnership
