We are Oban Multilingual Strategy Limited, trading as Oban International. This is our privacy notice which tells you what information we collect, for what purposes we collect it,  and how we look after it and use it. We comply fully with GDPR regulations.

This privacy notice applies to people who visit Oban International’s website, who use Oban International’s services, who subscribe to Oban International’s newsletter or who download any resources from the Oban International website, or who participate in or access or download other Oban International marketing activities or resources.

What information do we process and where does it come from?

We may process information of a strictly business nature that was either gathered from publicly available sources, or from professional social networks or websites, or derived from these sources, or is gathered by you subscribing to our newsletter or by downloading resources from our website or emails or social media posts, or by getting in contact with us.

We collect contact information about individuals in their capacity as employees or representatives of businesses, including:

For what purposes do we process your personal data?

We gather information to help our business grow by connecting with new, existing and lapsed clients and prospects who may be interested in purchasing our services now or in future. This purpose constitutes our legitimate interest as referred to in the GDPR .

Our marketing team grow and maintain a database of prospective customers from businesses that would be a potential fit with our services.   The database allows us to prepare relevant information or targeted messages for businesses that either already operate internationally or who may intend to do so in the future or who may wish to buy digital marketing services from us

The database includes your company’s name, sector and activities, plus selected people from its staff, and may include their name, role, title, professional email  and telephone number.

The information we may have about you will be stored while we offer our products and services,  unless we decide to delete your data, or you object to us having your data – whichever comes first.

Please note that if you decide to object to us having your data, we may need to keep information about your request for our records, to avoid adding your personal data to our systems again. This  constitutes our legitimate interest as the legal ground for such processing.

Is your data secure?

We care about the security of your personal data. We have clear processes in place to  manage data and we have implemented appropriate security and personal data protection measures. We also monitor our technical infrastructure, train our staff, look at the procedures we use and introduce any necessary improvements. We are ISO 27001 and ISO9001 compliant and both qualifications are audited on an ongoing basis. Who can see my personal data?

Your personal data may be disclosed to staff of Oban Multilingual Strategy Limited who support our marketing efforts. It may also be disclosed to trusted third-party consultants who support our marketing activities to the extent reasonably necessary to fulfil the purpose of data processing such as third-party e-mail platforms, web analytics and statistics suppliers (e.g. Google, Force 24 and Pipedrive.) Those third parties use the information we share only to support our marketing communications.

 

What rights do I have in relation to the processing of my personal data?

The GDPR grants you the following potential rights in relation to the processing of your personal data.   These rights are:

  • the right to access your data and to receive a copy of it
  • the right to opt-out, meaning to object to processing if you don’t wish to be included in our database. You can (but do not have to) also indicate the reason for your opt-out
  • the right to rectify or amend your data
  • the right to erase your data  if we do not have a legitimate interest
