Oban works globally from our head office in Brighton, UK.

Each client will get a hand-picked team of experienced digital marketing professionals who are responsible for leading the development and delivery of the marketing strategy, quality assurance and will give you outstanding service.

Our people are experts in international search, paid media, social and content, including specialists in UX and CRO.  Our team has experience of running global digital performance campaigns for clients of every size, including some of the world’s best known and most successful brands.

The LIME (Local In-Market Expert) network

We have a curated network of digital experts from over 80 markets, covering more than 50 languages. Each LIME is a local specialist in digital media, content, research and cultural localisation, working to Oban’s rigorous best practice guidelines and processes. LIMEs advise our central team on how to drive the best performance in their local marketplaces and execute local campaigns.

Head of Operations

James is our Head of Operations, with responsibility for Oban’s people and culture as well as the smooth running of our operations and IT. He manages a multidisciplinary team of specialists who ensure that we attract, develop and retain the best talent in the market.

James joined Oban in 2013 having previously spent 6 years at SunGard Consulting (now part of FIS) as Operations Manager. Prior to that his career focussed on HR, working within IT, Consulting and Telecoms.

Emily Mace

Head of SEO

Emily is Head of SEO at Oban and helps to shape the SEO strategy for our clients. Focussing on technical and international platforms such as Baidu, Emily’s role is to ensure our SEO clients get the best international visibility. She also regularly speaks at or runs training sessions for BrightonSEO and for Econsultancy as an international SEO specialist.

Emily joined Oban in 2014, having worked in SEO agencies for 7 years, working on brands such as Randstad, EasyCar and Leaders. She also has a background in IT training and tourism.

Mike Turnham

Head of Paid Media

Mike is Head of Paid Media at Oban. He joined in 2017 and is responsible for the development and delivery of the paid media product, ensuring best practice methods are applied to all Oban’s clients.

Mike has over 7 years’ experience as a digital marketing specialist, previously working at iCrossing and Rakuten. He has industry-leading experience across key clients such as Apple, Sky, Hilton, L’Oréal, EDF and TK Maxx.

Senior Client Partner

Kezia is a Senior Client Partner at Oban heading up a portfolio of clients including Premier Inn, Appian and giffgaff. She acts as a strategic partner to our clients, with a particular focus on understanding audiences to drive digital strategy and build campaigns.  She works across a range of channels, sectors and markets which gives her a wealth of experience and insights to combine with her inquisitive nature and analytical approach. Kezia joined Oban in 2010 from Giant Investments.

Head of Content

Tom is Head of Content at Oban. His role is to take an editorial view of how content works for our clients, and to find ways of making it work harder. A critical aspect of this is using our unique network of local in-market experts to ensure a truly international dimension to our content offering.

Tom’s sector experiences include fashion and retail, FMCG, financial services, technology, telecommunications, travel and tourism.

Mike is a Senior Client Partner at Oban heading up a number of accounts including the BBC World Service. He manages an integrated team of digital specialists working across paid search, paid social and SEO, bringing outstanding solutions and service to clients, campaigns and projects. Mike joined Oban in January 2014 having previously spent 8 years in London working at digital PR agency LEWIS and media communications agency Gorkana. During this time Mike worked in account management across a number of brands including Pret a Manger, Red Bull, Lexis Nexis and Help for Heroes.

Matt has a focus on insights and trends at Oban. He searches out what’s new in international digital marketing and keeps the business focussed on relevant developments and under-reported trends, to give Oban’s clients a significant advantage. Matt joined Oban in 2015 from Jellyfish where he was the UK MD. Prior to Jellyfish, he worked at iCrossing.

Finance Director

Grant is Oban’s Finance Director. He leads the finance and operations functions for the business. Grant joined Oban in 2008 from UBS Investment Bank. He is a Qualified Management and Treasury Accountant. He also holds a Law Degree from the University of Sussex.

Greig is Oban International’s Founder. Prior to setting up Oban, Greig worked at the British Council in Spain and the Middle East and then as a lecturer in International Web Communications at Brighton University. Greig started Oban in 2002 as the forerunner in cultural localisation. He speaks at a variety of industry events on culturalisation and Oban’s unique LIME network.

Sarah is the CEO at Oban and leads the strategy and culture for the business.  She joined Oban as CEO in 2017, having been a non-executive Director beforehand. Sarah has 30 years experience in media and marketing communications. She has held a variety of senior management roles, with a focus on strategy, communications and business planning.  Previously she has worked at Ogilvy, McCann Ericsson, MBS Media, Initiative Group and Spark, working with a range of clients including Nestle, Unilever, Danone, Sony, Waitrose, Bacardi and Aviva, amongst others.
